Love is like Sleeping?

                MINSAN

                    by benj

Ang love parang tulog

minsan matagal, minsan bitin

minsan malalim, minsan mababaw…

minsan magandang panaginip, minsan binabangungot..

I Am My Hair

January 24th, 2007 by buhayconfused

One of the songs that really catches me is the song from India Arie entitled, "I am not my hair".  I’ve seen the video twice pa lang and the song goes like this;

"Does the way I wear my hair make me a better person?
Does the way I wear my hair make me a better friend?
Does the way I wear my hair determine my integrity?
I am expressing my creativity.."

India Arie i guess dedicated this song to the victims of Breast Cancer who undergo Chemotheraphy;

"Breast Cancer and Chemotherapy
Took away her crown and glory
She promised God if she was to survive
She would enjoy everyday of her life ooh
On national television
Her diamond eyes are sparkling
Bald headed like a full moon shining
Singing out to the whole wide world like HEY…"

Basically the song tell us not to judge a person by his/her hair….

mmm… it kinda works for the breast cancer patients.. but NOT for ME…

Coz in my case.. I AM MY HAIR… If you see me having an uncombed hair, it means im not in the mood.  On the other hand, my groomed hair means im happy or inspired.

One of my favorite hairstyles is the one which is popular nowadays… the spikey, standing mohawk-like hair.. hahaha.. I also sometimes prefer the semi-kalbo haircut…

I remember the is a story behind that semi-kalbo thing.. having that kind of hair means something psychological to me.., CONFUSED?? ok.. for better explanation, here’s a part from my diary entry written last MAY 16, 2006;

"…pag nagpapakalbo ako, ibig sabihin may malaki akong problema… Ang buhok ang problema. Pagpapakalbo ang solusyon… Tinatakbuhan ko ang problema sa pagpapakalbo…"

Sometimes, we have to judge a person by its appearance.. well, i guess many of you will violently react with this one.. please don’t get me wrong…

Look.. if someone is "dugyot", it means that person is unorganized.  It reflects the person’s inner identity.. We can guess where that person comes from, the nature of his family, his parents… Weak personality means they’re shy, afraid of the crowd or not used to mingle with people…

Please don’t get me wrong.  I am not even against the popular saying, "Don’t judge the book by its cover"… I still believe that there are some "not good looking people", but are best people…

Thoug i was not given that "look" as handsome or as cute as models and celebrities, im still proud coz i know God created me in a very special way…

Basta for me, "what you see is what you get"…

Judge me with my hair… I AM MY HAIR…

LOVE YOUR PARENTS

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree,

A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday,
He climbed to the treetop, ate the apples, took a nap under the
shadow…

He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him.
time went by…the little boy had grown up,
And he no longer played around the tree every day.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad.
"Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy.
"I am no longer a kid, I do not play around trees any more" the boy
replied.
"I want toys. I need money to buy them."
"Sorry, but I do not have money…
But you can pick all my apples and sell them.
So, you will have money. " The boy was so excited.
He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily.
The boy never came back after he picked the apples.
The tree was sad.

One day, the boy who now turned into a man returned
and the tree was excited "come and play with me" the tree said.
"I do not have time to play. I have to work for my family.
We need a house for shelter.
Can you help me?
" Sorry, But I do not have any house. But you can chop off my branches
to build your house".
" So the man cut all the branches of the tree and left happily.

The tree was glad to see him happy but the man never came back since
then.
The tree was again lonely and sad.

The man returned and the tree was delighted.
"Come and play with me!" the tree said.
"I am getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself.
"Can you give me a boat?" said the man.
"Use my trunk to build your boat.
You can sail far away and be happy.
" So the man cut the tree trunk to make a boat.
He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the man returned after many years.
"Sorry, my boy. But I do not have anything for you anymore.
No more apples for you… " the tree said.
"No problem, I do not have any teeth to bite" the man replied.
"No more trunk for you to climb on"
"I am too old for that now" the man said.
"I really cannot give you anything…
The only thing left is my dying root," the tree said with tears.
"I do not need much now, just a place to rest.
I am tired after all these years" the man replied.
"Good! Old tree roots are the best place to lean on and rest,
Come, come sit down with me and rest.
" The man sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…

This is you and the tree is your parent…

Think You’re Happy? Think Again.

January 21st, 2007 by buhayconfused

Some people say they’re happy…. but.. are they really happy? how do YOU define happiness? Is it just like.. smiling, laughing and stuff? or is it like having some one there by your side?

Go to fullsize image

For me, there are three happiness. Namely, True happiness, Artificial or Synthetic happiness.. and short term happiness.

Let’s start with the lowest type.. The artificial happiness. Artificial happiness is a type of happiness that only shows on the surface. A person who is artificially happy laughs, smiles and do the normal stuff people do.. BUT! Do other people know what he feels? He tries to hide his sadness by hanging with friends and doing stuff that would make him forget all his suffering due to his sadness. Some people try to make people notice. Some try and fail. Some guys don’t know the feeling of true happiness. And some forget..

The next type is short term happiness. This type of happiness has a lot of sources… like.. materials and short term goals that will make him really happy..inside and outside. But, after a while of happiness because of his little contentment, this happiness will eventually disappear. People with this happiness tends to find another source after the previous one. This is.. kinda normal… i guess..

Then, True happiness.True happiness is the type of happiness that is real. A person who is Truly happy lives a happy life without any regrets of his goals and stuff. The primary sources may be, God, love, long term goals, family, successions in life, and many positive long term things.

Even people with happiness still feels sadness, and get hurt.
Some people think they’re happy but they’re not..
Some people think they’ll have a bright future.. but they have blank
Some people don’t know who they are.. Some people do..

Are we really happy?
Happy about our present condition?
Happy about our past?
Happy about our plans?
Do we dream just to become happy?
Do we dream just to have a goal?
Do we dream for both?
DO WE EVEN DREAM TO ACHIEVE OUR DREAMS!?

How about you people who destroy dreams?
What do you people dream?
Have you ever thought about what they feel?
Have you ever imagined how hard they try to strive?
Do some of you kill just to become happy?
Do you commit crime just for your sake!?
Why not commit crime for the sake of the world!?
Why not try risking yourself for others?

People of the world, are you happy about everything around you?
Have you thanked God, for choosing you to live?
Have you ever dreamed of reaching heaven?
Do you people think being perfect means happiness?
No person is perfectly good or perfectly evil..
No one is always right, no one is always wrong..
We were made in order to be imperfect..
Imperfection is equal to humanity..
If we were perfect, would life still be fun?

Amazing Race All Stars Casts Revealed

January 16th, 2007 by buhayconfused
The Amazing Race is back with its first all-star edition as 11 teams of competitors go on their second world trek.

CBS’ three-time Emmy winner returns Feb. 18 (Sundays, 8 ET/PT) with teams from seven of its 10 seasons, to be unveiled today. From among the 200 or so previous contestants, "it was very hard to pick favorites," executive producer Bertram Van Munster says. Producers chose partly "in terms of where their life went" since they left the show. "They’re not necessarily the winners, but character-wise, they’re all-stars in our book."

Only one team — Uchenna and Joyce Agu — was a past winner, in Season 7. But others are standouts: height-challenged Charla Faddoul and cousin Mirna Hindoyan; Joe Baldassare and Bill Bartek (the first season’s "team Guido"); Rob and Amber Mariano, who parlayed their Survivor stint into marriage and reality-TV careers; and Kevin O’Connor and Drew Feinberg, amiable, bald best friends from Season 1. Also repeating the Race are two teams from the latest season: coal miner David Conley and wife Mary, and beauty queens Dustin Seltzer and Kandice Pelletier.

Also in the hunt: Eric Sanchez and Danielle Turner, who competed on separate teams in Season 9 but later became a couple; Oswald Mendez and Danny Jimenez (Season 2’s "Team Cha-Cha-Cha"); John Pietanza and Jill Aquilino, a now-split couple from Season 3; and Teri and Ian Pollack, the oldest couple to finish as runners-up (she’s now 53, he’s 54), also in Season 3.

How did Race challenge contestants who knew the drill? "We had to throw them curveball after curveball, because they all thought they knew what we were doing again," Van Munster says. So the 45,000-mile, 28-day race, which ended Dec. 19, sent them "from extreme cold to extreme heat," a desert in northern Chile to "borderline South Pole" in Antarctica.

Van Munster says he and co-creator Elise Doganieri had "reservations" about an all-star edition, but he’s happy with the results.

"There is a lot of friction right off the bat" between teams, he says. "I’m confident we laid something on the table that will be very unexpected, and story-wise, there were plenty of fireworks."

Frenzied Staring at the Strawberry Fields

January 14th, 2007 by buhayconfused

Johnlennonlive

It was room,

And a car, and a car,

And a room, and a room

And a car.

But still I feel my lifetime festering pain

Not with my aunt and Uncle

George

But with my father

And the South and the Midwest Sates.

Even Ronald

Shrugged and grinned

Denounced by Spain and Vatican

Unlike Yoko and everyone in

Strawberry fields who made it

Home for grief and mourning

Those scenes usually reserved for

World leaders

And the silent vigil at E.S.T.

David

You mentally deranged,

I’m sorry

I was just saying it as a fact and

It’s true more for England than here.

I just said what I said and it was wrong

Or it was taken wrong.

That I baked as many loaves of bread

As what’s in the miracle in the bible.

That we’re more popular than Jesus

That Christianity will vanish and shrink.

10:30

When I see not the stars

But the spark of the limousine.

David, it was you

Hiding in the carriage vestibule

who shouted my name out from darkness.

After a combat stance

Four bullets struck at my back

And one in front

“I’m shot, I’m shot”

And run few steps toward the

Entanceway.

Then I found myself

Like a Cold Turkey

In a white room listening to

All my Loving

And I saw you David

You whacko flatly local screwball

who ended the symbol of peace,

the voice of the world

which is me!

You never Give peace a chance

But I believe, Jesus did.

It was shown through

Hundreds, possibly thousands

Gathered in Dakota that night.

And in Strawberry fields

They lit candles, but I don’t see them

But I see a Brit leading a rosary

With some on their knees.

Now

Vatican, immigration,

My father, Ronald

And David, who’s in search for fame;

Many of them love me.

Even committed suicide and hopeless for my

Other three companion’s reunion

That’s physically

impossible…

Ang Tatay Kong Warfreak

January 10th, 2007 by buhayconfused

Madalas kaming mag-clash ng opinion at idea, and in the end, siya ang panalo.
